Wag & Walk

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our 1st Annual Wag and Walk this September! This exciting event encourages our community members to walk 30 miles with their furry friends throughout the month, all while raising funds to support Growth Works’ essential programs. Participate individually or as a team in our Wag and Walk event. We look forward to seeing you and your four-legged companions join us in making a difference!

How it works:

Register for $45 and create your own fundraising page. You can create a fundraising page as an INDIVIDUAL, you can JOIN A TEAM that has already started a fundraising page, or you can CREATE A TEAM fundraising page. Registration includes a event t-shirt, event dog bandana, and a event welcome packet.

Set a Fundraising Goal: All participants are encouraged to set a goal that they feel comfortable achieving, Growth Works has set a default of $500, which you can adjust when creating your fundraising page.

Share your fundraising page with friends, family, and co-workers, and ask them to sponsor you as you walk 30 miles. Tell them why you’re raising money and what the cause is and why it’s important to you. Don’t forget to include some pictures of you and your furry friend!

Walk 30 miles throughout September with your pet! Snap pictures, shoot some videos of your adventures and make sure to comment on your fundraising page to keep your followers up to date. Share your progress on social media. Be sure to tag Growth Works and use #GWWagAndWalk. Share how far you walked (we recommend a mile a day), but it’s entirely up to you!

Want to Donate but not Participate:

Click the link to donate to Growth Works Wag and Walk without participating in the event. Your donation will help us achieve our fundraising goal. All donations collected will be use to ensure Growth Works programming continues to grow, expanding our services that are vital to our communities. What is a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser:

You’re in charge! Peer-to-peer fundraising is a method where supporters host personal campaigns to gather donations from their friends, family, and colleagues for our organization. This strategy helps us connect with new networks of support.

When you advocate for your cause, you do more than raise money on behalf of this organization; your support raises awareness for our mission to empower individuals and families, helping us reach and serve more people in need and expand our vital community programs.

Essentially, you are helping your community!
